Part two


“I’m sorry Kevin…I just can’t stay here anymore…I have to move on” marina whispered.

Morana and Kevin had been living together for about a year now, but things weren’t going as they both would like. Kevin worked late shifts as a janitor at a nursing home about 40 miles away, and Morana worked in a dental office as a clerk in town. They had become very distant to each other and despite living in the same apartment the only saw the other every few weeks.
“If that’s what you need then go” he said bluntly back.
She walked out, taking the last of her boxes to her car. After getting in she stopped an minute and sighed. She knew it was the right thing but she couldn’t help but wondering what was going to happen to him. Had always kept his emotions bottled up. She didn’t know if he really didn’t care that she was leaving or if he was just trying not to show anything.
As marina stared her car she couldn’t help but look back to see if he had changed his mind and came out to tell her he still loved her. But nothing such happened. So she drove off.
